Great Wall Will Release A Crossover And A Main Tractor On Hydrogen

Great Wall Corporation announced the launch of a global strategy for the development of hydrogen transport. By 2023, the corporation intends to become the Chinese leader in this industry, and will begin to implement the strategy with the introduction of a fuel cell crossover to the market. The start of its production is scheduled for this year.

• Great Wall, China's National Quality and Certification Center, and Tongji University in Shanghai will set up a joint research institute to study hydrogen fuel cells. A similar research unit within the concern itself should become one of the largest in China: now Great Wall is actively attracting employees from Europe, America and Japan.
• The plans for this year are to start mass production of an off-road vehicle with a fuel cell power plant. Great Wall calls it "the first in the world", but similar developments are already available from a number of companies, including Hyundai and BMW. In addition, the concern will lead a project to build a fleet of hundreds of heavy hydrogen trucks.

• For the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, Great Wall will unveil a fleet of similarly powered luxury cars. And by 2025, it is going to enter the top three world manufacturers in this industry (due to which - it is not specified).
• The most famous mass-produced fuel cell passenger car is now considered the ToyotMirai - the sedan changed a generation last year. At the same time, the Hyundai model line also has commercial vehicles with such a drive. For example, in Europe, a Xcient truck is being sold, equipped with a 190-kilowatt power plant and an electric motor with 475 hp.
