Details of the Volkswagen Taos trim levels for Russia, which is expected to become the brand's most affordable crossover in our market, have been declassified due to inside information leaks. According to the resource VW-Clubs, even the basic version of the model will be quite rich. There will be four sets of equipment in total, and in addition, optional packages will be offered for the crossover.

• The resource has published copies of the presentation slides marked "For internal use" intended for Volkswagen dealerships - it is dedicated to just the future novelty.
• According to the presentation, Volkswagen Taos will enter the Russian market in four versions - traditional for the Respect, Status and Exclusive brands, as well as a special version of Joy !, announced back in March. The basic equipment includes, for example, air conditioning, heated front seats, a multimedia system with a 6.5-inch screen and an 8-inch instrument panel, light sensor and cruise control. The optics of the most affordable Taos will be LED, but the rims will be 16-inch "stamping".
• They will be light-alloy in the Status trim level. In addition, such a crossover will be equipped with an electrically adjustable driver's seat, a rain sensor and dual-zone climate control. The display of the media system will grow to 10 inches, and the rear passengers will have USB ports.

• The richest VW Taos will get 17-inch wheels, adaptive optics and additional chrome on the body, while the cabin will get richer trim, heated rear sofa, ambient lighting, a rear-view camera and 10-inch gauges.
• As for the Joy! Version, it will be distinguished by a special design of the body and interior due to the bright inserts. Differences from the Status configuration will be, as in the Exclusive version, atmospheric lighting and a rear-view camera, but, unlike it, such a Taos will be equipped with an alarm and a keyless entry system.
• Optionally, expensive versions of the crossover can be equipped, for example, with a set of driver's assistants and 18-inch wheels, and the most affordable ones with a number of options from those included in richer configurations (for example, climate control, alarms and a rear-view camera).

• In March, it was reported that the Russian Volkswagen Taos will receive two motors to choose from (110 or 150 hp), and a more powerful version will also be offered with all-wheel drive. The date of the start of sales, as well as the prices for the crossover, have not yet been announced. The Taos is expected to be more affordable than the larger VW Tiguan, but slightly more expensive than the comparable SkodKaroq. Thus, the cost of the basic configuration of the future novelty should be within the range from 1.5 to 1.8 million rubles. Sources of the resource VW-Clubs claim that dealers will start accepting pre-orders for the SUV in April.
