The British company Topaz Detailing, which specializes in the restoration and protection of paintwork, has published a video of work with a rare Mercedes-Benz 300SL from 1956 - one of the oldest cars ever received by the company's masters. After a three-step correction, the coupé shines brighter than new.
- Working with a vintage car began with carefully covering all the chrome parts on the body so that they would not tarnish from the effects of modern drugs and tools. The paintwork was then carefully examined to identify defects.
- After that, the body of the Mercedes was polished several times using various attachments in order to even out the varnish layer and save it from damage, including even invisible scratches. The engine compartment was cleaned using special compounds and brushes.
- The company claims that the car that got into their work costs about a million pounds, that is, about 104 million rubles. In total, Mercedes-Benz assembled just over 3 thousand copies of the 300 SL in the middle of the 20th century. Given its rarity and sporting history, the coupe is considered one of the most expensive collectible Mercedes models.

Topaz Detailing calls itself the leader of the detailing industry in the UK, and rare and unusual cars regularly fall into the hands of the company's specialists. For example, in the summer of last year, the company published a video of the process of working on the body of the Mercedes-Benz 500 SL roadster, which at that time was 30 years old.
