Andreas Flatten, the retired manager of A-OK Walker Luxury Autoworks in Georgia, received his last salary of $ 915 in one cent each - that's more than two quintals. It took him several months to seek payment, but he, as Flatten himself told the New York Times, could not spend this money.
- The story of Flatten's last salary in the workplace was posted on Instagram by his girlfriend: the post went viral and attracted the attention of the press. She said that Andreas quit the workshop in November, but they refused to give him the last part of his salary and agreed only after he promised to bring lawyers into the case.
- The management of the service chose a strange way to pay: the required amount in coins of one cent was simply dumped onto the driveway of Flatten's house. Moreover, it turned out that the coins were also filled with some kind of pungent-smelling liquid - Andreas suspects that this is the liquid that is used in power steering. To transfer the coins to the house, he and his girlfriend had to spend several hours, but the coins (a total of 91,500) still have to be laundered in order to at least turn over to the bank.
Olivia, Flatten's friend, attributes the situation to the hostile relationship between Andreas and the management of the company, caused by the behavior of the director. Miles Walker, the owner of the workshop, told CBS that the method of payment does not matter: "All that matters is what he was paid."
- In May last year, a conflict between a manager and a subordinate led to an accident. The outraged driver simply crushed the boss with his Ferrari truck.
