Auto.ru analysts have studied the price lists of manufacturers and found out how the recommended retail prices for cars changed in March 2021 compared to February. At the end of the month, cars of 20 brands have risen in price.
The growth leader is the Peugeot 408 sedan, which is not very popular in Russia: plus 7.9% to the price or 100,000 rubles. The most affordable sedan with a 1.6-liter gasoline engine and a manual transmission is estimated at a minimum of 1 299 000 rubles.
Among the cars of the mass segment, SkodSuberb (plus 4% or 108,000 - 113,000 rubles) and the recently appeared on the market JAC J7 (plus 3.6% or 20,000 - 50,000 rubles) went up. Opel Vivaro added a little less (plus 3.1% or 60,000 ₽).
In absolute terms, the prices for the Posche Cayenne Coupe Turbo S E-Hybrid crossover rose the most - plus 660,000 rubles or 5%. A hybrid 550-horsepower crossover costs at least RUB 13,830,000. A similar Cayenne with a traditional body has risen in price by 630,000 rubles or 5%. The starting price is RUB 13,240,000.
Porsche has rewritten the price list for almost the entire model range. The previous price tags remain with the new 911 GT3 and some versions of the Boxster, Cayenne and Cayenne Coupe and Cayman. The minimum price increase is for the basic Cayman: plus 140,000 rubles or 2.9%.
Of the non-premium models, some SkodKodiaq modifications have risen in price by 163,000 - 165,000 rubles (5 percent). We are talking about crossovers in the Laurin & Klement, Scout and Sportline trim levels, the production of which is not localized in Russia.
During the month, 3 modifications of Citroen C3 Aircross in the Live configuration fell in price. Variants with a 110-horsepower petrol engine and automatic transmission, as well as a 92-horsepower diesel engine and “mechanics” lost 10,000 rubles in price, or 0.6%. Version with a gasoline engine of 82 hp. and a manual gearbox threw off 60,000 rubles and 2.6%.
March was marked by a modest, in comparison with previous months, change in prices for brands as a whole: models of 20 brands have risen in price by an average of 1.2%. The most significant price jump was recorded for models from mass market brands: Opel and Suzuki, as well as Skoda. Price lists for models of 27 more brands remained unchanged.
Cars of premium brands have risen in price by an average of 1%. In addition to Porsche, manufacturers revised prices for Mini (plus 1%), Infiniti (plus 0.7%) and Lexus (plus 0.5%).
For 3 months, prices for new cars increased by 2.5%. Audi (plus 6.4%) and Genesis (plus 6.3%) rose the most, while the premium segment added 3.2% on average. "Mass Market" became more expensive by 2%. The strongest growth is behind Chery (plus 3.6%).
