On Avto.ru there was an announcement about the sale of the Mercedes-Benz GLS SUV, which was turned by a Moscow tuning studio into an analogue of the Mercedes-Maybach GLS. To rebuild the car, original components are partially used, but, according to the seller's calculations, such a homemade Maybach still turns out to be 8-9 million rubles cheaper than the factory original.

• The example for sale, modeled on the Mercedes-Maybach GLS, is equipped with separate rear seats with a massive console between them. The console has heated and cooled cupholders, and the seats are pushed back by 220 millimeters, equipped with a massage function and retractable ottomans for the legs. In addition, the tuners complete this SUV with wireless charging and folding tables from the original Maybach.

• The SUV even shows signs of a luxury version, including multi-spoke wheels with logo, bumpers, nameplates and a radiator grille. However, the degree of originality of these details is not specified.
• The announcement also includes technical specifications - in particular, a 558-horsepower 4.0-liter turbo engine. Such an engine is not installed on standard GLS in Russia, since it is the prerogative of the most luxurious equipment.

• The mileage of the now-sold home-made Mercedes-Maybach GLS is close to the statistical error and is 12 kilometers, the car was purchased 2 months ago. They ask for it 13,340,000 rubles, which is 3,950,000 more than the starting price of a regular Mercedes-Benz GLS. The base cost of a factory Mercedes-Maybach GLS in Russia is 16,150,000 rubles, but due to numerous expensive options, the final price of an SUV may turn out to be much higher. For example, interior trim in silver nappa leather from the designo collection will immediately increase the price of the car by 3,840,000 rubles.
