The shortage of new cars in Russian dealerships is declining. The TASS agency was informed about this in the Russian Automobile Dealers Association, noting that it is too early to talk about the complete elimination of the deficit.

• A certain level of deficit, judging by the ROAD statement, still remains, although the association did not provide specific figures. In addition, the organization noted that Russian manufacturers are still experiencing a shortage of electronic chips. Earlier it was reported that interruptions in the supply of components were faced, for example, by enterprises producing ERA-GLONASS units, engine control modules and multimedia systems.
• As for the shortage of cars, the first time a shortage of cars in dealerships in Russia was recorded last summer. They associated it both with a decrease in production volumes against the backdrop of a pandemic, and with a surge in purchasing activity, which was caused by the instability of foreign exchange rates.

• In the fall of last year, almost 90% of the dealers surveyed by Auto.ru noted the rush demand for cars. More than half of them predicted that the restoration of supplies in previous volumes can only be expected in 2021.
