Video: The Hub Cap From The Car Of The Famous Rapper Is Sold At The Price Of A Mercedes-Benz S-class
On the American site Moments in Time, a seemingly unremarkable plastic wheel hub cap appeared on sale. However, it was estimated at 150 thousand dollars (11.4 million rubles): the seller claims that he was removed from the car in which the famous rap musician Notorious B.I.G. was shot dead. According to the official configurator, Russian prices for Mercedes-Benz S-class start at 11,120,000 rubles.
- American musician Christopher Wallace, known under the pseudonym Notorious B.I.G., was killed on March 9, 1997 with four shots when the Chevrolet Suburban, in which he was traveling, stopped at one of the intersections in Los Angeles. The culprit was never found.
The dealer of the hub cap claims to have proof of the origin of the part. An indirect confirmation should be the remnant of the sticker with the inscription Think B.I.G. March 25 1997. These stickers were part of a promotional campaign for the rapper's new album Life After Death: Wallace died three weeks before the scheduled release.
- Previously, this artifact belonged to a family friend of the owner of the company, where the same Chevrolet Suburban was rented during the artist's stay in Los Angeles. Apparently, it was the first time that the cap went on public sale.
- About a year ago, another item related to American rap music and tragic events was put up for sale: a BMW 7 Series sedan in which Tupac Shakur was shot. The car was then estimated at $ 1,750,000.
