A unique 13-meter limousine called Limo Jet, made from the fuselage of the Learjet business jet, will be put up for sale on May 14 at the Mecum auction. As Autoevolution clarifies, last year they already tried to sell it here and even found a buyer willing to pay 600 thousand dollars (45.5 million rubles) for an unusual vehicle. However, the deal for some reason did not take place.
- The limousine was born by installing the aircraft fuselage on a custom frame. At the same time, the business jet was deprived of its wings, but the tail unit and engine nacelles were retained: the latter now play only a decorative role, and the sound of the engines is reproduced through the speakers built into the body (including 12-inch subwoofers).
- In fact, the Limo-Jet is powered by a Chevrolet 8.1-liter V8 with 400 hp. The limousine rests on 28-inch wheels. It weighs 5.4 tons, but despite its weight, it can accelerate to 160 km / h.
- The Limo-Jet salon is designed for 18 people and has leather sofas, a developed media system and a minibar. The driver's seat with four screens for outdoor cameras was designed specifically for the limousine. The auction house notes that it took two years to develop and build the "wheeled aircraft" (the design of the limousine is patented), and as a result, Limo-Jet received permission to use public roads. It was originally built as a shoukar.
- How much it is planned to bail out for a limousine this time, the auctioneers did not specify.
