The Latest Lexus Concept Will Get A Wheel Like Tesla

Lexus has released a video teaser for its latest concept car, which is slated to premiere on March 30th. In the video, the company not only hinted at the layout of the prototype, but also showed some interior details.

• Judging by the video teaser, the concept will turn out to be electric and will receive two electric motors (one for each axle), and the battery pack will be implanted in the floor panel. The basis for the novelty should be an electrical modification of the e-TNGA modular platform.
• The unnamed prototype will be equipped with four seats, while the passenger capsule will be noticeably shifted to the rear axle. Photos of the future concept published earlier by the company showed a dynamic silhouette of the concept car, resembling a cross between a large hatchback and a cross-coupe. It is assumed that the prototype will receive only three doors.

• At the same time, instead of the traditional steering wheel, Lexus designers have provided the driver's seat with an unusual compact steering wheel. Previously, a similar part appeared on the updated TeslModel S and Model X, but it is still unknown whether Tesl plans to equip production cars with such a steering wheel. The driver's and passenger's seats are separated by a massive console.
• The new concept car is positioned by the company as a means of demonstrating the new design style of the brand and the “relaunch” of the brand as a whole.
