Ford has again postponed the delivery date for the revived Bronco. This time, the delay applies to SUVs in a specific configuration - with an optional modular roof in black. Buyers of such cars will have to wait until 2022 model (and certainly calendar) year, reports Automotive News.

- Ford has repeatedly shifted the start of production of the Bronco - due to the pandemic and again due to problems with the roof. Then it was due to the difficulties of the supplier of components - the German company Webasto.
- This time, the delay was also provoked by the supplier, but buyers have a choice: to reconsider the ordered configuration in favor of a regular roof made of unpainted plastic or soft top (then the car can be delivered in the summer) or wait and receive bonuses. You need to decide before April 8.
- Those who prefer to wait will get an optional $ 495 soundproofed ceiling for free. It is included in the equipment when ordering a fabric or leather interior, so for those who have already chosen an optional interior, the same $ 495 will be deducted from the price of the car.
-
In addition, for those who pre-order the Bronco from the deferred batch and receive it as a 2022 model, Ford will keep the original price of the car, even if a similar one rises in price. Some customers will also be offered $ 1,000 worth of bonus points in the FordPass app that can be spent on service or branded accessories.
- Despite booming demand, postponements and long wait times, Ford estimates that 66% of Bronco pre-orders have become full-fledged. Today their number is about 125 thousand.
