The new coupe from Nissan will receive a 400-horsepower engine, a "automatic" from Mercedes-Benz and the ability to customize the chassis. This was reported by one of the users of the 400Z Club forum with reference to insider information. At the same time, on the US market, a sports car should be much more affordable than the current ToyotSupra.

- The coupe will enter the market under a name without a digital index: according to sources, it will not be called the 400Z, as expected, but simply the Nissan Z (in Japan, the sports car will continue to be called the Fairlady Z). There is only one engine for the sports car - this is a 400-horsepower three-liter V6 with twin turbocharging, known, in particular, from the Infiniti Q60.
-
The most affordable version of the sports car is planned to be equipped with a manual transmission from the previous generation Nissan 370Z. For a surcharge, the coupe will be equipped with an automatic 9G-Tronic from Mercedes-Benz. The chassis for the sports car as a whole is also borrowed from the 370Z, but it is being modified with the use of aluminum and carbon fiber reinforced plastics. The dry weight of the coupe will be 1,475 kilograms (the curb weight of the Nissan 370Z is 1,496 kilograms), the dynamic characteristics have not yet been announced.
- In the US market, the Nissan Z will be offered two multidirectional optional packages. The first one implies a sportier chassis with reinforced stabilizers and Brembo brakes, the second one - leather interior trim, ventilated seats and an extended range of driver's assistants. Each of the packages is preliminary estimated at $ 5,000, and the base price of the sports car itself will be $ 34,995 (2.66 million rubles).
-
At the same time, ToyotSupr with a three-liter 335-horsepower engine and an eight-speed automatic transmission costs at least $ 50,990 (3.88 million rubles) in the United States. This coupe was named the main competitor to Nissan Z, but in North America, the Japanese novelty will have to fight for a buyer with a Ford Mustang.
There is no roadster on this base in Nissan's plans yet, but a year later the Z may have a "charged" modification from the Nismo division.
- The appearance of the serial sports car has already been declassified on previously published photos and videos - they show cars ready for shipment. However, when exactly the official premiere of Nissan Z will take place is still unknown.
