As part of the presentation of the Ioniq 5 electric crossover (from the premium Ioniq sub-brand, created by Hyundai), the Korean Youtube channel Asian Petrolhead shot a detailed video about the new product on the home market. The video focuses on the interior, which allows you to simulate the space in both the rear and the front.
- At the back, the electric car is spacious thanks to a three-meter wheelbase. With external dimensions approximately the same as that of the Hyundai Tucson Ioniq 5 crossover, it surpasses it by 250 mm in terms of the distance between the axles. The sofa halves are electrically adjustable in the 125 mm range: more space for passengers or luggage can be allocated.
- At the disposal of the rear riders are classic USB charging ports and a 220-volt household outlet located below the pillow. There is heating, sun blinds on the windows, panoramic roof. An absolutely flat floor provides additional convenience.
-
In front, the center console moves between the seats along with the armrest. The floor is flat too. You can charge gadgets by wire or from a wireless platform. The Ioniq 5 has several displays: projection, two 12.3-inches on the front, two in the front door trim for displaying images from rear-view cameras that have replaced traditional mirrors. The electronic joystick for selecting transmission modes is located on the right side of the steering column, like on Mercedes.
- The Ioniq 5 was unveiled on February 23rd. The electrocrossover is based on a specially developed E-GMP platform. The serial version of the Ioniq 5 will be equipped with one or two electric motors. The most powerful power plant develops 306 hp. and 605 Nm of torque. Depending on the power and capacity of the battery, acceleration to a hundred takes 5.2-8.5 seconds.
- During the first day of accepting pre-orders for the Ioniq 5 electric crossover in South Korea, Hyundai has collected 25 thousand applications. Initially, the goal was 26.5 thousand cars for the entire 2021, and the previous achievement for the Hyundai-Ki alliance lasted from August last year. It was on the account of the KiCarnival cross-van, which was ordered by 23 thousand Koreans in the first day.
