Video: Bitcoin Rises 5 Percent After Musk's Statement Of Tesla Selling For Cryptocurrency

Tesl CEO Elon Musk has implemented a previously promised addition to the electric car buying system - now they can be purchased for bitcoins. Musk announced this on his Twitter. At the same time, the company is not going to transfer the received cryptocurrency to other payment systems. As Business Insider clarifies, bitcoin reacted to the news with cautious growth.
- Buttons for paying for purchases with bitcoins have already appeared on the official Tesl website in the sections dedicated to the purchase of electric vehicles. While the function is available only to residents of the United States, however, Elon Musk promises to soon extend its action to other countries - this will happen by the end of this year.
- The cryptocurrency rate has grown by 4.7% and is now $ 56,360 (4.3 million rubles). Since the beginning of this year, bitcoin has risen in price by 90%, and over the past 12 months, the increase in the rate of "digital money" has exceeded 800%.
-
For the first time, Tesl announced its readiness to switch to settlements through digital assets in February this year. Then it became known that the company itself invested about one and a half billion dollars in bitcoin. Against the background of this information, the cryptocurrency rate showed another leap, but then 44 thousand dollars were given for one bitcoin.
