A verbal battle broke out on Twitter between one of the top managers of Ford and an investor in Tesla. According to Carscoops, the stumbling block was initially an attempt to oppose the Ford Mustang Mach-E and TeslModel Y electric crossovers, but later more serious accusations were also used, including the sale of "dummies".

• Investor TeslRoss Gerber asked Ford to stop comparing their Mach-E to the Model Y crossover on his Twitter account. He says it's just useless, since these are incomparable products. In addition, Gerber said that Ford should return to Mach-E buyers the money that the brand's dealers "wind up" over the factory price: he compared this scheme to theft.
• In the comments to the tweet, the head of the Ford communications department Mike Levin noted, who said that the comparisons are not made by Ford, but by the media. In turn, he advised Tesl to return to its customers the funds spent on the Full Self-Driving system (the company calls it "autopilot", but it is not a full-fledged autonomous driving system). Levin used the term vaporware - this is the name for a product announced but not released on the market (in other words, a "dummy").

• In addition, Levin said that any potential Mach-E buyer faced with an inadequate dealer markup could contact him personally - and Mike would help find another dealer. But in reality Levin doubted the chance to find the "autopilot" promised by Tesl.
• In turn, Elon Musk has repeatedly noted that, despite the name, the Full Self-Driving function does not turn Tesl into a full-fledged drone. According to his tweet on March 13, the beta version of this system was removed from some cars because the drivers who used it did not follow the road closely enough. According to Musk, no incidents were recorded, and Tesl will present some new technology in this area in April.
