Ki has unveiled its latest large sedan, the K8, which will replace the K7 / Cadenza. The engine range of the four-door will be made up of engines with a volume of 1.6 to 3.5 liters: there are no diesel units among them, but there is a gas-powered engine. In addition, the driver of the sedan was promised an adaptive self-adjusting seat.

• The most affordable versions of the KiK8 will be equipped with a 1.6-liter turbocharger with direct injection. A notch higher will be the 2.5-liter unit, which develops 198 hp. and 258 Nm of torque, and the 3.5-liter engine, which will be installed on the sedan in one of two versions, will lead the engine range. The output of the petrol version will be 300 hp. and 359 Nm, and on liquefied propane, the engine will be able to develop up to 240 hp. and 314 Nm.
• For all engine options, in addition to the 1.6-liter, an eight-speed automatic transmission is provided, and the most powerful version of the KiK8 will also receive an all-wheel drive system. The KiK8 also features a fully independent suspension with McPherson struts at the front and a multi-link at the rear.

• For the sedan, the newest driver's seat has been announced, which bears its own name, Ergo Motion Seat. He was immediately supplied with seven air cavities in the back and on the sides. This solution made it possible not only to program the chair for a special massage function, which Ki called the “comfortable stretching mode”, but also to teach it to regulate the degree of lateral support. It is reinforced automatically when the on-board electronics switches to Sport mode or when it reaches 130 km / h. Another "smart" mode is called "landing assistant" and is designed to increase comfort on long journeys - when the driver spends an hour or more behind the wheel.

• The passenger seat was equipped with electric adjustments in eight directions. In addition, the KiK8 equipment list will include ventilation and seat heating, three-zone climate control and a media control unit for rear passengers built into the armrest.
• Earlier it was reported that the KiK8 media system will include two 12-inch monitors, merging into a single curved screen, and a head-up display of the same diagonal. The salon is supposed to sound with the help of an advanced sound system of the Meridian brand.
• Finally, the KiK8 will feature the latest version of Drive Wise, a proprietary set of driver's assistants. It will include, for example, an emergency braking system capable of maneuvering and working in left turns, taking into account speed limits, intelligent cruise control, as well as a lane keep function and a remote parking assistant. The number of airbags on the new product will reach nine, including the knee.

• The new Ki sedan is set to go on sale in the first half of 2021, but the exact date has not yet been announced. Earlier it was assumed that the KiK8 could only be bought closer to the end of the year. Whether it is worth counting on the appearance of a new four-door on the Russian market is not specified.
