In the capital's Traffic Management Center, they told how many offenders were recorded by cameras working on unfastened seat belts and using the phone while driving. In two months, the total number of such violations approached 13,000, Radio Sputnik reported.
- “For two months in 2021, cameras recorded 12 194 drivers who were not wearing seat belts, and 623 people using a phone while driving a car,” the press service of the department said.
- Cameras tuned to new types of violations started working in Moscow in December 2020. Initially, there were eight of them. However, according to the data center, there are already 29 of them in the city. Recently, the authorities of the Moscow region announced their intention to launch similar complexes in their region.
- Earlier, the deputies of the Moscow Regional and City Duma proposed to include in the Code of Administrative Offenses liability for drivers who throw garbage on the roadsides and in roadside forests - that is, outside specially designated areas. Fines of up to 150 thousand rubles and confiscation of cars are envisaged, and they offer to fix the littering ones with the help of cameras and photo traps.
