Aston Martin has unveiled a special version of the Vantage production supercar with an 8-cylinder engine, announced last week. The F1 Edition has been named not only the "most tracked" road version, but also the most powerful in the family. Supercar sales have already started: the price - from 162 thousand euros (14.3 million rubles).
- The novelty has received almost the same changes that were subjected to Vantage in preparation for the position of the safety car of the new season of Formula 1. The standard 4.0-liter V8 is boosted by 25 hp. - up to 535 hp The amount of torque remains unchanged at 685 Nm, but Aston Martin notes that its shelf "straightened", providing maximum traction in a wider rpm range. In addition, the standard 8-band "automatic" with an electronic differential was recalibrated for track use. The new version of the Aston Martin Vantage coupe will accelerate to 100 km / h in 3.6 seconds, the roadster will spend 0.1 seconds more. The maximum speed is 314 and 305 km / h, respectively.
- The Vantage F1 Edition's suspension features redesigned shock absorbers and stiffer springs to reduce vertical swing without compromising low-speed comfort. In addition, the supercar for the first time received 21-inch wheels (previously the maximum was 20 inches) with specially developed low-profile Pirelli tires.
- Among other things, the supercar received a modernized body kit with a front splitter, winglets on the bumper and a massive rear wing. The innovations add 200 kilograms of downforce at top speed. The F1 Edition Coupé and Roadster will also offer several unique body styles, including a replica of a safety car based on a racing Green shade. The interior of the novelty is trimmed with black leather and gray Alcantara with contrasting inserts and stitching.
The British have already opened the acceptance of orders for the Vantage F1 Edition, and they promise to deliver the first "live" cars to customers in May this year.
- In November, Aston Martin announced the preparation of a special collection for the Vantage called Legacy. It consists of three track cars recreated by the company based on a supercar: you can only buy them all together.
