- Craig Gordnier, he said, always dreamed of buying a mobile home after retirement and traveling. However, finding himself out of work due to the coronavirus (he served in the Coast Guard for 8 years), the veteran decided that he could start fulfilling his dream right now.
- For 15 thousand dollars, he purchased a semi-disassembled Bluebird TC 2000 school bus from 1999 and invested 40 thousand dollars (just under 3 million rubles) and six months of his own labor in its transformation. Craig's original bus interior transformation project does not include any partitions. In his mobile home, there is only one transverse wall, fencing off a bathroom with a real shower, and the rest of the space is divided into zones purely visually, following the model of a studio apartment.

At the same time, a full-fledged kitchen space with a homemade countertop, stove, refrigerator and coffee machine appeared on the bus, and a living room with a sofa that converts into a double bed. In addition, in this part of the house, Craig installed an electric fireplace with an imitation of a hearth - in cold weather it will serve as a source of heat. Imitation brickwork is made of polystyrene foam.
- Next to the bathroom, Gordnier placed another bed, the bedroom also includes a panoramic roof window. There are water tanks and boxes for personal items hidden under the bed. But the builder did not alter the bus cabin, keeping it in its original form. Craig says he likes the contrast between the driver's seat and the rest of the space.
- In February, the Nizhny Novgorod company "Avtouslugi" presented its project for rebuilding the bus: for 5.5 million rubles, engineers are ready to transform "Vector Next" into a car equipped for autonomous living.
