The recent MX-5 Cup race in Sebring ended unexpectedly. Three participants of the competition finished almost in one leg at once. The winner was ahead of the closest rival by only 0.001 seconds.
- Championship leader Gresham Wagner, as well as Michael Carter and Celine Rolland fought for the victory. They started from the first, third and fifth positions, respectively, and in the same order began the final round.
- On the last loop, there was a fierce struggle, and three MX-5s made it to the finish line with a minimal separation from each other. The results were determined using a photo finish: first place was taken by Rolland, and second and third by Carter and Wagner, respectively.
- The photo finish also showed that the bronze medalist was only 0.012 seconds behind the “silver”.
- In March of this year, a video with an unusual end to the drag competition gained popularity - the "combat" Camaro took off during acceleration and spent a significant part of the distance in flight, but landed successfully and finished as if nothing had happened.
