A Gang Of Car Thieves Who Stole 13 Million Cars Detained In The Moscow Region

Employees of the criminal investigation department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia stopped the activities of a gang of car thieves. The attackers were operating in the Moscow and neighboring regions, the damage is estimated at more than 13 million rubles, according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs Media.

• Three residents of the Moscow region were detained red-handed immediately after another theft. During the searches, the police found special means for entering the car, generators of radio interference and personal belongings of the owners of the stolen cars.
• It is noted that the gang carefully prepared for each theft, looking for cars with the maximum configuration. After that, the cars were followed, figuring out the daily routine of the owners and choosing the right moment.
• Subsequently, the attackers changed their identification numbers, prepared forged documents and put the cars up for sale on the Web. All stolen cars have been found.
• In March of this year, Russian insurers named the most stolen cars in the country. They are models of Hyundai, Ki and Toyota brands, as well as Land Rover, Mercedes-Benz, Lexus and others.
