Users of the Reddit resource have published photos of the Volkswagen ID.6 X electric crossover, allegedly made publicly available by the Chinese Ministry of Industry. The electric car, comparable in size to the VW Touareg, will officially debut in April.

• According to documents published by the Chinese authorities, the dimensions of the electric novelty will be 4876x1848x1680 millimeters with a wheelbase of 2965 millimeters. The dimensions will allow three rows of seats to be accommodated in the crossover cabin. The wheelbase of the Tuareg is 2904 mm.
• The Volkswagen ID.6 X is considered the logical development of the ID concept. Roomzz, however, the exterior of the production model has been significantly redesigned.
• The basic modification of the novelty will receive only one electric motor with 204 hp. and, accordingly, will be rear-wheel drive. However, the more expensive versions are planned to be equipped with two engines with a combined output of 306 hp. and 460 Nm. A similar power plant is already available in some other Volkswagen electric cars. The base ID.6 X can travel up to 450 kilometers on a single charge.
• According to one of the versions, ID.6 X will remain the prerogative of the Chinese market, while in other countries Volkswagen will sell passenger sedans and station wagons under the ID.6 index (without X). According to other sources, the seven-seater crossover will still reach Europe.

• In China, Volkswagen already owns an electric car with the letter X. This is one version of the ID.4 compact crossover, which is produced by a joint venture between SAIC and VW. They equip it, by the way, with the same power plants that were announced for the ID.6 X.
