Analytical company Compare the Market has published the results of an analysis of Google search traffic among automotive brands. Most often, users tried to find information about Toyot cars - this also applies to Russia. AvtoVAZ is also on the list.
- The object of the study was search queries in 158 countries, and the result was a kind of rating with an announcement of the leader for each region. The Toyot brand leads in terms of the number of requests in 34.8% of the studied countries for the period of 2020, including Russia. Researchers attribute this to a large number of high-profile new products released by the company and an extensive lineup.
- In 2019, the world's Google users were most often interested in the BMW brand. However, a year later, the number of countries where the Bavarian company was first looked for dropped to 21.5%. Nevertheless, from 2018 to 2020, BMW retained the lead with a score of 38.3% versus 31.3% for Toyota.
Analysts point out a clear trend in the distribution of requests by ethnicity - in a number of countries, brands that are historically related to this country are in the lead in search. For example, in Italy the most frequently searched for information about Fiat, and in Sweden the Volvo brand became the leader of inquiries. Contrary to this trend, AvtoVAZ was most often interested in in Ukraine.
- In October last year, the most wanted electric car on the Internet was named TeslModel 3. The second position with a three-fold lag was taken by the Nissan Leaf, the third and fourth places also remained for Tesla cars.
