Video: Watch The Mercedes-AMG One Hypercar Bristle With Flaps

Mercedes-AMG has shown an "almost production" example of the One hypercar in motion on the race track. The video clearly shows the work of active aerodynamic elements located on the wings of the hypercar. The date of the premiere of the coupe, priced at $ 2.5 million, has not yet been named.
- In addition to the unusual "flaps" Mercedes-AMG One will also be equipped with a characteristic longitudinal "fin" extending from the air intake on the roof of the passenger capsule to the massive wing. Such solutions are used in endurance racing and are designed to improve the directional stability of sports cars. The large diffuser and the unusual exhaust configuration are also clearly visible.
- Mercedes-AMG has been developing its own hypercar for several years. It was planned that One will be shown in mid-2020, but the company's engineers faced problems when setting up the power unit - it should become the main highlight of the model. Mercedes-AMG One will be equipped with a hybrid power plant built around a 1.6-liter "formula" turbocharged V6. It is expected to develop around 1200 hp.
-
Mercedes-AMG plans to assemble only 250 examples of the One hypercar. Despite the long development period, all machines have already been sold. The base cost of the future novelty is $ 2.5 million (about 190 million rubles).
