The iconic first-generation Volkswagen Transporter minivan, converted into an ultra-short and very powerful truck, was put up for sale on the Gateway Classic Cars website. The seller expects to bail out $ 46,000 (3.5 million rubles) for it, writes Autoevolution.
- The length and size of the wheelbase of the tuning Transporter are not reported. But even from the photo it is obvious that such "short ones" were not serially made. As a banter over the dimensions of the car, the authors of the project made a niche on the starboard side and a huge imitation of a key inserted into it - a hint of a clockwork children's toy.
- Wheels of various sizes and an arc with small wheels at the stern are striking. The latter is no coincidence. The standard 2.2 engine was boosted to 330 hp with the help of large-scale tuning. Through a 4-speed "mechanics", it drives the rear wheels. Volkswagen easily makes a wheelie on acceleration with such a base, and the arc is necessary so that it does not overturn.
- Tuning also took place in the cabin, where bright blue and white fabric trim, additional instruments and a powerful audio system appeared.
Most often, the Volkswagen Transporter is found, if not in factory form, then in the guise of a camper. Last fall, a motorhome based on the T2 generation was being sold inexpensively. There were only about fifty such firms from Mexico built, and only six have survived to this day. Of the more modern options, the T4, built in the USA, appeared on sale. Alteration in 21 years reeled in barely 4,000 kilometers.
