Video: VW Tests New Minibus At The Nurburgring

Recently, automakers have come to love testing new models on the German Nürburgring racetrack. But Volkswagen went farthest, testing the Multivan of the T7 generation in very atypical conditions for a minibus. Photos posted by Carscoops.

-
Volkswagen Multivan for the first time since 2003 will receive a completely new body with a large glass area. The headlights will become narrower, and the lanterns will henceforth be placed horizontally. In general, the model will retain the same proportions with a short bonnet.
- A hatch on the right front fender means that a plug-in hybrid is being tested at the Nurburgring. The fuel filler neck of the new Multivan is located above the left rear wheel, while in the current minibus it is located on the pillar next to the driver's door.
- According to preliminary data, the Volkswagen Multivan T7 will be built on the MQB modular platform, which is already used by other models of the brand - from the Golf hatchback to the large Teramont crossover. The minibus will premiere in late 2020 or early 2021, alongside the simpler Transporter and Caravelle versions.
