Lexus Scrapped The LC F Super Coupe Project

The Japanese premium brand has abandoned the development of the LC F super coupe, which could compete with the BMW M8 model. This is reported by the Internet portal Carsensor.

• Lexus analyzed the economic situation that has changed due to the coronavirus pandemic, calculated financial losses, and also studied the market prospects for future new items and found the LC F fashion sports car too expensive and impractical.
• The Japanese company has been hatching plans to throw the glove to the best European grand tourers for a long time: for the first time, a prototype of a super coupe was photographed two years ago.
• The LC F was supposed to offer customers not only comfort, but also outstanding dynamic performance, becoming the fastest Lexus model in history.

• But there are also good ones. The company has no plans to curtail development of a new 4.0-liter V8 engine with two turbochargers, since it was planned to be installed not only on the most powerful version of the LC, but also on other Lexus and Toyota models.
