Auction house Mecum will auction a 1971 Plymouth Cud Convertible in July in a very rare V-Code 440-6 BBL modification. The company's specialists estimated the car at $ 500,000 - $ 700,000 (34.4-48.1 million rubles), despite the heavily rusted body.

-
A total of 17 Plymouth CudV-Code 440-6 BBL convertibles were produced, and the auctioned example is one of only two released for export. It differs from the standard open versions in two-tone paint, wing and front seats with an increased backrest.
- The convertible was stored in a closed container for 35 years - the poor condition of the body is due precisely to this. But the cost of the car was increased by the originality of the parts, the whole interior and the untouched VIN number sticker on the door.
- Under the hood of the Plymouth Cud, a 7.2-liter V8 is installed, equipped with two three-chamber carburettors, producing 290 hp. (664 Nm). The engine is paired with a three-speed automatic transmission.
