Video: Mercedes-Benz Electric Crossover Has Become Slower And Cheaper
Mercedes-Benz has unveiled a new, more affordable version of its first electric crossover, the EQC 350 4Matic. For two years, the model was presented in just one modification.
Like the EQC 400 4Matic, the new version has one electric motor on each axle. However, their total power has been reduced from 408 hp. (765 Nm) up to 286 hp (415 Nm). Because of this, the acceleration time to 100 km / h increased from 5.1 to 7.9 seconds, but the top speed is still electronically limited to 180 km / h.
- The capacity of the battery located under the floor has slightly decreased (the exact data have not been disclosed), but the range remains at 415 kilometers, as in the EQC 400 4Matic with an 80 kWh battery. With constant current fast charging stations, the battery charges from 10 to 80 percent in 40 minutes.
- The first market for the Mercedes-Benz EQC 350 4Matic was China. The initial cost of the electric crossover is 499,800 yuan (4.9 million rubles), which is 80,000 yuan (800 thousand rubles) cheaper than the older version. In Russia, only the EQC 400 4Matic version is certified, but the model has not yet gone on sale.
