Video: US Intelligence Agencies Put Up For Auction A Minivan For Surveillance

The 1998 Plymouth Grand Voyager is up for sale at the US state auction GovDeals. It is interesting because it was used by some unnamed US intelligence agency for covert surveillance.

-
The minivan entered the civil service in Chicago after the car was seized from drug dealers. The Plymouth looks unremarkable, except for an orange special signal on the roof, but in fact it hides a periscope for observation with an old video camera inside. The salon has a TV and a box for equipment. The rear windows are covered with shields from the inside so that the interior is not visible from the street.
- During its eventful life, the Plymouth Grand Voyager traveled 102,058 miles (164,246 kilometers). It is equipped with a 3.3-liter V6 with 160 hp. and a four-speed automatic transmission. The seller notes that the new owner will have to replace the rusted shock absorber pads, but repair parts are included with the machine.
- The auction for the sale of a surveillance minivan will end on June 20 at 2 am Moscow time. At the time of publication, the last bid for the Grand Voyager is $ 2,175 (152,000 rubles).
