Ford Returns Iconic Mach 1 To Mustang Lineup

The Ford Mustang is once again available in Mach 1 performance, which first appeared back in 1968. This version received its name in honor of overcoming the threshold of the speed of sound. The new modification in the range is considered intermediate between the standard Mustangs and the top Shelby versions.

• The new Mustang Mach 1 has an aerodynamic body kit with decals on the body in the style of the original Mach 1. The circular air intakes in the radiator grille are made in the style of the headlights of a 52-year-old car, and hot air is removed from the engine through the ventilation slots in the hood. The seats and gear lever have a unique finish not available on other versions.
• The new modification of the "Mustang" is equipped with a five-liter naturally aspirated V8 with a capacity of 487 hp, which is combined with a six-speed manual transmission from the Shelby GT350 or with a ten-speed "automatic". For the version with "mechanics", an optional Handling Package is available, which includes wider 19-inch wheels and a developed body kit.
• In addition to the gearbox, the Shelby GT350 version also borrows other components, including suspension parts and cooling systems. The diffuser is from the Shelby GT500. The coupe also has more powerful Brembo brakes and re-tuned steering.
• The Ford Mustang Mach 1 will go on sale in Spring 2021 and will be a limited edition. The coupe will appear in fifty countries where the usual "Mustang" is available. Russia is not included in this number.
