Canadian resident Da Tong Young was dissatisfied with his Mercedes-Benz S550 sedan and the quality of service from an authorized dealer in Richmond. The dealership replaced the steering rack under warranty and returned the car to its owner. However, Da Tong Yang decided not to drive the car, considering it unsafe even after being repaired. He demanded that the car dealership replace the car with a new one, and after refusing he went to court, asking also to compensate for moral damage.
- Having achieved nothing, the owner of the S-class flew to Germany in the hope of help. On the spot, he met with a Mercedes-Benz representative, talking about his problem. Later, however, he only received an email stating that the company would take care of his issue. Da Tong Yang does not intend to back down and continues to sue.
