Haval Calls Gelik-style SUV "big Dog"

The Chinese company Haval has announced that the new SUV with round headlights has been named Dgou, which means "big dog". He was chosen in a poll held on the social network WeChat, after which the designers added the footprint of a dog's paw to the background of the model's name.

• The crossover with the factory index B06 was created by the chief designer of Haval - British Phil Simmons, who previously invented the exterior of the Range Rover Velar. The cabin, which is exposed only in spy shots, has leather-trimmed seats with intricate stitching, volumetric ventilation vents and several non-standard monitors.

• According to Autohome, the Haval Dgou, the ideological successor to the H5 frame SUV, will be the first to receive the new platform. It is still unknown whether the novelty will have a frame structure or become a crossover with a monocoque body.
• The full premiere of the new Haval will take place in the summer, and the start of sales in China is scheduled for November 2020. What name the model will receive in other markets is still unknown.
