Video: Russian Tunnels Will Be Allowed To Rebuild

In some of Moscow's tunnels, road services began to apply intermittent markings instead of solid ones. As Autonews reports, later the innovation will be introduced in other regions of Russia.

- Intermittent markings have already appeared in two metropolitan tunnels: in Dorogomilovsky and on Prospekt Mira near VDNKh. In the latter, it allows you to take a convenient place for the exit to Kosmonavtov Street, while the extreme left lane has retained a solid one. In total, by winter, new markings will be applied in 23 of Moscow's 40 multi-lane tunnels.
- The data center believes that the innovation will reduce congestion, as it will be allowed to outpace slow-moving vehicles. It should also save drivers from missing the necessary exits.
In the tunnels, a fine of 500 rubles is provided for crossing continuous markings. In Moscow, compliance with the rule is monitored by road cameras installed at the entrances and exits of the tunnels. At the end of 2019, the State Duma in the first reading adopted a bill banning the recording of one violation by several cameras, including for exceeding the average speed.
