The American publication Consumer Reports, which specializes in independent tests of consumer goods, has compiled a list of ten models with the most problematic automatic transmissions. The list is formed on the basis of feedback from owners of cars sold since 2010 in the United States.
- Six models of the rating belong to Nissan. Many Americans have encountered CVT malfunctions on cars manufactured in 2012-2016. Due to the appearance of strong jerks when driving, continuously variable transmissions were often changed under warranty, and one Nissan owner, who managed to drive 284,000 kilometers without breakdowns, had to pay $ 4,000 (273,000 rubles) to repair the variator himself.
- At the same time, the list of capricious "automatic machines" is headed by the third generation Ford Focus, and most of all problems arose on the cars of 2012-2015 years of production. Malfunctions of a different nature arise even after a mileage of 48 thousand kilometers.
