In Togliatti, on the territory of the AvtoVAZ scientific and technical center, employees found several fifth-generation Renault Clio hatchbacks. According to AvtoVAZ News, the cars were delivered in early April for testing.

• There are several versions of what French hatchbacks are doing at AvtoVAZ. It is possible that it is planned to localize the model in Russia, which is not yet available on the market. A pair of white hatchbacks have already been tested in the air conditioning system and are continuing to perform other tests.

• They can also use only the platform of the new Clio for some other model: the modular architecture CMF-B debuted on the hatchback. At the same time, AvtoVAZ's contractor, Steering Systems, recently received a loan to prepare for the Russian production of a mechanism for a simplified version of this platform called CMF-B-LS, which is still under development.

Earlier it became known that AvtoVAZ plans to stop assembling the LadXray hatchback due to the constantly decreasing demand. The model, which is based on Renault's B0, has already begun to be produced in very small editions, replacing the platform-based LadLargus, Renault Logan and Sandero.
