The Russian office of Volkswagen has finally announced the start of sales in Russia of the Arteon liftback, which is the flagship passenger car in the brand's European lineup. The initial cost of the model is 2 639 000 rubles.
Volkswagen Arteon, built on the basis of the Passat and having a similar interior, is available in the Russian market only with a two-liter gasoline turbo engine with a capacity of 190 hp. (320 Nm). The engine is combined with a seven-speed "robot" with two clutches.
- In Russia, Arteon is offered in two trim levels. The initial R-Line (from 2 639 000 ₽) is equipped with a sports body kit, 18-inch wheels and RunFlat tires, adaptive shock absorbers, LED optics, keyless entry, combined leather and Alcantara interior trim, three-zone climate control, heated windshield and all seats, a 10.25-inch dashboard, a 220-volt socket in the trunk and a multimedia system with an eight-inch display.

The R-Line Premium version (from 2,999,000 rubles) has 19-inch wheels, adaptive cruise control with automatic braking and lane-keeping systems, all-round cameras, panoramic roof, double-glazed windows in the front doors, interior background lighting, built-in navigation.
A technically identical Volkswagen Passat costs at least RUR 2,339,000 in Russia. But for this amount, the sedan does not have such a rich package.
Arteon is just entering the Russian market, although the model debuted in 2017. On June 24, an online presentation of the restyled version will take place, and in addition to the liftback, the Arteon Shooting Brake station wagon will appear.
