In Santa Monica, California, a Z8 roadster, modified by the German studio Alpina, was stolen from a BMW dealership. Just a few blocks later, the hijacker lost control and crashed the car on a pole, after which he fled. The aftermath was filmed by Jacob Zone TV.
Inside the AlpinRoadster V8, there is a leaflet with a description of the roadster. It was released in 2003 and has a range of 9169 miles (14,756 kilometers). The dealership asked for $ 499,000 (34.1 million rubles) for the car.
- A total of 555 copies of the AlpinRoadster V8 were produced from 2002 to 2003. The model differed from the BMW Z8 with a body kit and a 4.8-liter V8 with 381 hp. (519 Nm) with a five-speed "automatic". The original roadster (5703 such cars were produced) had a 400-horsepower 4.9 V8 (500 Nm) and a six-speed "mechanics".
- Auto.ru now sells two copies of the AlpinRoadster V8, which are located in Moscow. Sellers ask for them 19 and 30 million rubles, respectively.
- Marauders hijacked an expensive roadster in the wake of civil protests against police brutality. They began all over America after an African American, George Floyd, was killed in detention. Earlier in San Leandro, also in California, about 50 new cars were stolen from a car dealership at once, including 717-horsepower Jeep SUVs, Dodge coupes and sedans.
