As part of state support, buyers are provided with a subsidy of 10% of the cost of a new car (25% for residents of the Far Eastern Federal District), which is credited towards the payment of the initial loan installment. 7 billion rubles have been allocated for the updated programs of preferential car loans in 2020. Until June 1, state support programs had stricter requirements: state subsidies were provided only to the buyer who purchased a car for the first time, or to families with two or more minor children, and the car should not have cost more than 1 million rubles.
