The American publication Consumer Reports, which independently tests consumer goods, has compiled a list of ten models with the most unreliable motors. Experts conducted surveys and studied the reviews of owners of cars sold in the US market.



- The most problematic was the 2009-2010 Audi A4 with a two-liter petrol turbo engine. A very large number of engines are sent for overhaul with a mileage of 172–246 thousand kilometers. Consumer Reports noted that Lexus IS or Infiniti G engines of the same years of production are much more reliable.

In second place was the big 2008 Ford F-350 pickup with a 6.4 V8 turbodiesel. Due to various defects, a small batch of produced cars will have to undergo major repairs even with a mileage of 104–191 thousand kilometers. Also in the top 3 was the Chrysler PT Cruiser of 2001, which usually requires a 2.4-liter engine overhaul after 164-214 thousand kilometers.
