The Toyot company for the first time showed the updated Hilux pickup, but in a completely camouflaged form. The prototype was tested by two-time Formula 1 champion and world endurance champion Fernando Alonso. At the beginning of the year, the Spanish pilot raced in Dakar in the factory Gazoo Racing ToyotHilux.
- Toyot said that the restyled Hilux will receive a new 2.8-liter turbodiesel - more powerful than the current unit of the same displacement. Also, the pickup will be equipped with a suspension with a modified geometry.

-
In April, images of the updated ToyotHilux appeared on the web. On them, the pickup has new headlights and bumpers, a radiator grill, devoid of several strips, and modified lights with diodes.
- The exact date of the premiere of the updated pickup in the Japanese company was not named. We only know that this will happen in the near future.
The current ToyotHilux pickup truck is offered in Russia with a choice of a 150-horsepower 2.4 turbodiesel and six-speed "mechanics" or with a 2.8 177 horsepower engine, which is combined with an "automatic" for six gears. The initial cost of the model is 2,382,000 rubles.
