The Latvian company Dartz, which is engaged in the creation of armored vehicles, uses the Frese brand for electric vehicles, which will be produced in China. This was reported by Kommersant.
- The first Russian production car was built by designers Pyotr Frese and Yevgeny Yakovlev in 1896. The bodies of several copies were manufactured at the Frese carriage factory, and the engine and transmission were manufactured at the Yakovlev plant. All the following models, produced under the Frese & Co. brand, were equipped with foreign engines.
- In 1910, Peter Frese sold his factory to the Russian-Baltic plant. By this time, more than 200 cars were assembled on it. Dartz positions itself as the successor of the Russo-Balt brand. The company decided to start assembling electric vehicles at the facilities of an unnamed Chinese plant. Other details are still unknown.
Dartz's latest project is the Prombron Black Stallion SUV, based on the Hummer H2. It received a bulletproof body and a compressor 6.2-liter V8 from the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat coupe, boosted to 1000 hp. The next copies in Dartz promised to be assembled on a more modern platform, and each SUV will cost at least $ 300,000 (21.2 million rubles).
