The Russian division of Nissan, following the global office, has revealed an action plan for the next four years. During this time, all models on our market will be updated or replaced by a generation. An electric car will also go on sale. Most likely, it will be the Ariya crossover, which will debut in 2020.

  • Nissan currently offers four models in Russia: Terrano, Qashqai, X-Trail and Murano. The company will continue to promote crossovers and SUVs - it is not planned to bring passenger models to us. All Russian novelties will be equipped with ProPILOT driver assistance assistants and information exchange systems between cars, other road users, and infrastructure facilities.

  • Nissan does not intend to abandon the research center and plant with a capacity of 100 thousand vehicles per year, located near St. Petersburg. The Qashqai, X-Trail and Murano models are produced there. The Terrano crossover is assembled in Moscow together with the soplatform Renault Duster.
  • In December 2020, the production of models of the budget sub-brand Datsun - on-Do sedan and mi-Do hatchback - will be completed in Togliatti. After the production of the redesigned LadGrant is discontinued, the Datsun brand will leave the Russian market. This will not affect the Infiniti premium brand in any way, and already sold Datsuns will continue to be serviced as usual.

In the global market, Nissan will cut its global lineup from 69 to fewer than 55 models, and will also reduce vehicle production from 7.2 million to 5.4 million units per year. In the next 18 months, the Japanese company will introduce 12 new models.
