  • Volkswagen Nivus is built on the cheaper MQB-A0 platform, on which the most affordable crossover of the brand, the T-Cross, is also based. The novelty is 158 mm (4266 mm) longer than the soplatform model, but surpasses it in wheelbase by only 15 mm (2566 mm), and is lower in height by 77 mm (1493 mm). The trunk volume of the Nivus is 415 liters - 30 liters more than the T-Cross.

  • In the base, the Volkswagen Nivus has disc brakes "in a circle" (in the initial versions of the T-Cross, there are "drums" at the back), six airbags, a stabilization system and an electronic imitation of the front differential lock. The list of options includes adaptive cruise control (for the first time among the brand's compact crossovers), an auto-braking system, LED optics, 17-inch wheels, a 10.1-inch digital dashboard and new multimedia with Internet access and an eight-inch monitor.
  • In the Brazilian market, Nivus will receive a three-cylinder turbo engine with a volume of one liter. It is capable of running on both gasoline (116 hp) and ethanol (128 hp), developing 200 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive.
  • Brazil has already announced the start of pre-orders for Nivus. The initial cost of the coupe-crossover is 79,990 reais (1.06 million rubles), and the top version of the Highline costs 97,990 reais (1.3 million rubles). The novelty will appear in local dealerships in the second half of June.

  • The first enterprise where Volkswagen Nivus is produced was a plant in Brazilian São Bernardo do Campo. In 2021, before the start of sales of the coupe-crossover in Europe, it will be assembled at the Spanish company of the brand. Whether Nivus will appear in Russia is still unknown.
