The Russian representative office of Mercedes-Benz has announced prices for three 612-horsepower Mercedes-AMG crossovers. The initial GLE 63 S costs 10,500,000 rubles, its coupe-like version is more expensive by 100,000 rubles, and the full-size GLS 63 will cost at least 12,200,000 rubles.
The crossovers are equipped with a biturbo 4.0 V8 with a capacity of 612 hp. (850 Nm), a 48-volt EQ Boost starter-generator with 22 hp, a nine-speed "automatic" and four-wheel drive. Acceleration to 100 km / h takes 4.2 seconds for the GLS 63 and 3.8 seconds for both Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 S. The top speed of the crossovers is 250 km / h, but with the optional AMG Driver's Package, the electronic limiter is shifted by 280 km / h.
BMW X5 M and X6 M Competition with 625-horsepower 4.4 V8 (750 Nm) also accelerate to 100 km / h in 3.8 seconds, but with the M Driver's Package the top speed reaches 290 km / h. Bavarian crossovers cost 9,920,000 and 10,310,000 rubles, respectively. The seven-seater GLS 63 has no direct competitors in Russia, because the BMW X7 does not have a full-fledged M version, and the 621-horsepower AlpinXB7 is not supplied to us.
All Mercedes-AMG 63 Series crossovers come standard with matrix LED headlights, air suspension, all-round cameras, Burmester audio, nappa leather trim and a two-year service package after a two-year warranty.
Powerful crossovers will come from the American Mercedes-Benz plant. The first GLE 63 S and GLS 63 will appear at Russian dealers in June, and the GLE 63 S Coupe will reach dealerships during the summer.
