Video: Small Station Wagon Lada Vesta Was Cut Out Of Aluminum

The Tver Machine-Tool Plant has shown how a large-scale copy of the LadVestSW Cross is being created. It is entirely made of D16T duralumin alloy, which is commonly used in the aerospace industry, for the production of oil pipelines and automotive parts.
The copy was created on a five-axis milling machine. First, the plant employees fixed an aluminum round blank on the turntable and polished it - this time-consuming process did not get into the video. Then the machine proceeded to milling according to Vesta's computer model - separately he turned the base and the body, after which the operator connected them. At the last stage, all the details of the model were processed on the rotary table of the machine.
The video is only two and a half minutes long, but it took much longer to produce the LadVestSW Cross copy. It turned out to be quite accurate - the front bumper of a complex shape and even the wipers were correctly machined from aluminum.
