Toyota Electric Hatchback Created From Scratch Will Get An Unusual Design

Toyot is preparing for the premiere of the first electric car, which will be a completely independent model, and not an electrified modification of an existing one. As it became known to the Japanese edition of Spyder 7, a certain electric hatchback with round headlights will be presented in the fall.

• The Toyot electric car will be made in the style of the ToyotLQ concept, which was supposed to be used at the Summer Olympics in Tokyo to accompany the Olympic flame and marathons. The production version will borrow from the prototype the general features of the body, interior and fully automatic parking function.

• At the heart of the hatchback is the new electric modular platform e-TNGA. The novelty will receive a 204-horsepower electric motor and a battery with a capacity of 54 kWh, which should be enough for 300 kilometers of power reserve.

Toyot plans to create at least six models on the e-TNG platform by 2025 for the global market. The company will develop a compact crossover in conjunction with Suzuki, and build a larger SUV together with Subaru.
