It seems an electric future is inevitable. And this means that not only mass-produced cars, but also cars for the elite, like armored cars, about which we recently wrote, will be transferred to "green" traction. Today we're talking about luxury electric crossovers and SUVs that can drive VIPs without fuss.
Fisker Ocean

Designer Henrik Fisker is a controversial figure in the auto industry. On the one hand, he is the author of beautiful cars like the BMW Z8 and ArtegGT. On the other hand, Fisker is an extremely unlucky businessman. At first, the idea of modifying the German GT class cars burned out, then the Karm hybrid left a billion dollar hole in his pocket. It would seem that with the launch of Fisker Inc. and the presentation of the EMotion sedan, all the troubles were left behind, but no - the Fisker project is still stalled.
Perhaps it is the Ocean crossover that will finally interrupt the designer's series of financial failures. Yes, Ocean also still exists only in the form of concepts, renders and layouts, but the situation with it is more optimistic: it appears regularly in news feeds, which means that it creates information noise around itself and the company. So, recently it became known that Ocean will receive a purely off-road version of Force-E, which will differ in increased ground clearance, toothed wheels and off-road accessories, such as a winch and a roof rack with a "chandelier" on the roof.
As for the regular Ocean, it will be offered in both mono and all-wheel drive versions. In the top-end version, the crossover will be able to travel up to 500 kilometers without recharging, and also accelerate to 100 kilometers per hour in 3 seconds. Fisker promised to show pre-production prototypes by the end of this year, and delivery of production cars to customers is scheduled for 2022. Fingers crossed, we hope Fisker will succeed this time.
Faraday Future FF 91

Another project, in which many have already become disillusioned, but which continues to show signs of life. Faraday Future FF 91 prototypes are periodically seen on the roads of California, the Faraday Future website is regularly updated. And the company's Instagram is still alive. Maybe it's not that bad?
If you believe the words of the head of the company, Carsten Breitfeld, then everything is really good and the project is developing according to plan: the company received support from the US government in the amount of nine million dollars, the hardware tests have been completed and the programmers are now finalizing the software. Consequently, the FF 91 will go into production at the end of 2020 as planned (for the last time). I would like to hope that the debut will not go anywhere.
Faraday Future FF 91 will be powered by three electric motors with a total power of 1,060 horsepower. As tests have shown, with such a power plant, the crossover accelerates to 97 kilometers per hour in 2.4 seconds. There is no exact data yet about the power reserve, but, according to preliminary estimates, it will be about 500 kilometers. The car has a lot of jaw-dropping chips: a futuristic interior with seats that NASA specialists helped to develop, a driver recognition system (the car will adjust to his preferences), an autopilot of the third level and other chips, without which it will be impossible to imagine a car in 10-15 years …
Hongqi E115

Until the end of this year, the Hongqi E115, which was presented as a concept car at last year's Frankfurt Motor Show, should also go into series. Considering how the electric cars of the Chinese company NIO turned out, we would not treat the E115 and the Hongqi company lightly: recently, the Chinese auto industry has learned to surprise.
The serial version of the gigantic crossover, according to Chinese media reports, will retain both the massive grille and narrow headlights of the prototype. No wonder - all this greatness was painted by Giles Taylor, a former Rolls-Royce designer. But there is still no specifics about the power plant of the serial car. For the concept, two electric motors were announced with a total output of more than 1000 horsepower and about 600 kilometers of travel on a single charge.
We hope that the autopilot provided for the concept will also be delivered. For the prototype, the autonomy of the fourth level was declared.
Neuron EV Vega

We have already lost count of how many startups with dreams of creating revolutionary electric vehicles have been gifted to us by California. However, the projects that have survived to this day can be counted on the fingers of two hands. But Neuron EV and its Veg crossover look promising.
There are practically no technical details about the car. It is only known that the Veg is built on the same modular platform as the Neuron T-One concept truck: the creators of the car are confident that such a move will provide the car with greater reliability and safety. The crossover prototype turned out to be almost five meters long and two meters wide.
Traditional promises include five seats on board, state-of-the-art safety technologies and an air-renewable autopilot. We believe that everything will be so.
Triton Model H

But electric cars are thought of not only on the west coast of the United States, but also on the east. Take, for example, the Triton Model H from New Jersey: behind the appearance of the gas-hungry Escalade, the greenest technologies are hidden. Which, however, still exist only in words and computer illustrations.
Triton-EV was founded by Indian entrepreneur Himanshu Patel, and Model H is its firstborn. Despite the similarities to the Cadillac, the future 5.7-meter giant will have nothing to do with it, except for the presence of air suspension and ample room for eight people on board.
As for the power plants, Himanshu Patel promises the sky in diamonds: the base Model H will have 1,014 horsepower, and the Performance version will have 1,520! Moreover, in the top-end configuration, the 3.5-ton SUV will be able to accelerate to 97 kilometers per hour in 2.9 seconds, and the power reserve, thanks to a 200 kWh battery, will be 1120 kilometers.
Although the car still exists only in the form of pictures, pre-orders for it are already open. Prices for the Model H start at $ 140,000 (10 million rubles).
LagondAll-Terrain

Aston Martin has already started production of crossovers - the firstborn was the DBX. Its subsidiary Lagonda, which is aiming for the super-luxury segment - that is, roughly where Rolls-Royce lives - is just getting ready to launch an electric SUV. Its forerunner, the All-Terrain prototype, debuted at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show.
And if at least some of the prototype chips migrate to the production model, then it will be one of the most fantastic representatives of the class. Because the fully digital LagondAll-Terrain dashboard is built right into the steering wheel, and the washers responsible for controlling the multimedia system levitate thanks to magnets!
The British did not disclose any data on the power plant of the concept car. However, it is already known that all future Lagond models will be equipped with fully electric power plants. According to preliminary calculations, a serial crossover in the luxury brand's lineup will appear in 2022.
GMC Hummer EV

The Hammer, of course, cannot be called a no-name, but from 2020 it will change beyond recognition. Now, under the name of the warriors, they will not produce hypertrophied SUVs, which are so fond of gangsta rappers, but high-tech electric cars.
The public and the media are actively exaggerating the topic of a pickup truck, which will be hacked for customers with the crazy TeslCybertruck. However, when it became known about the return of the Hummers, albeit as models of the GMC brand, information appeared about the electric SUV. Then it became known that the model would cost itself a premium 100,000 dollars.
Nothing is known about the technology yet, but it can be assumed that the SUV will have the same 1000-horsepower version as the pickup. So much foolishness will be given by three electric motors. Obviously, there will be simpler modifications.
