Video: Scientists: Parking A Car In The Sun Helps Fight The & Nbsp; Coronavirus

Researchers at the American University of Georgia conducted a study and determined how long it takes to naturally disinfect a car from coronavirus. This was reported by Forbes.
- Scientists have confirmed that the coronavirus can linger on various types of surfaces for a long time. For example, on plastic and stainless steel, it remains up to three days. However, the higher the temperature of these materials, the faster the bacteria die.
- At a temperature of 22 degrees Celsius, the coronavirus lives in a car for about a day. Raising the temperature inside the car to 55 degrees kills 99.99% of the virus in about 20 minutes, and at 65 degrees - in just 5 minutes. For the interior to warm up like this, the car must stand in the sun for more than an hour at an air temperature of 27 degrees Celsius.
-
In addition to the interior, things in the car are also disinfected under the sun. It has been found that this method even works for medical masks. The scientists also reminded once again that children and animals should not be left in the car in hot weather.
