Video: All Data Of Russian Car Owners Leaked To The Network

In the shadow segment of the Internet - the darknet - a traffic police database has appeared with information about Russian car owners as of December 2019. According to the Telegram channel "Information Leaks", it contains 129 million records of registration of cars in the country.
- Most of the 83 files of the database weighing 24 gigabytes contain anonymous information about the cars that are registered. They indicate the place of registration, make and model of cars, VIN-codes, as well as the dates of the first and last registration.
- For 0.3 bitcoin (212 thousand rubles), access to the full version of the database with personal data of car owners is offered, including full name, addresses, dates of birth, passport numbers and contact information. Illegal sellers are ready to give the entire database for personal use for 1.5 bitcoins (1.06 million rubles).
- The authenticity of some of the data to Vedomosti was confirmed by an employee of an unnamed car-sharing company: the database contained information about the cars of the short-term rental service. The Interior Ministry has not yet commented on the drain.
